Terms of Service

The terms for using kerneln.com, the Kernalin app, the rnx CLI and the VS Code extension.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

1. Who these terms are with

Kernalin is operated by Jashom (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between us and you. If you use Kernalin for an organization, you accept them on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to; “you” then includes that organization. If your organization has signed a separate agreement with us, that agreement takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms.

2. The service

Kernalin is a hosted service for GPU kernel and workload performance: intake checks, benchmarking, profiling, memory analysis, correctness verification, AI-assisted optimization, a CI regression gate, and related dashboards and alerts (the “Service”). The rnx CLI and the VS Code extension are provided to early-access users to use with the Service.

3. Early access

The Service is in early access. Features marked Preview or Roadmap on our website may be incomplete, may change, or may be withdrawn. We may change or interrupt the Service, and we don’t promise any particular availability during early access. Prices are not yet published; we will agree any charges with you in writing before you incur them, and early access is otherwise free.

4. Your account

  • Keep your sign-in details and API tokens secure, and tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been compromised.
  • You are responsible for what happens in your account and for the people you invite to your workspaces and the roles you give them.
  • You must be at least 16 and allowed to enter into these terms.

5. Your content

“Your content” means the workloads, kernels, models, code, data and configuration you upload or connect (for example through GitHub), and the results the Service produces from them, including optimized or converted kernels.

  • You keep ownership of your content. We claim no rights in it beyond what these terms need.
  • You give us permission to store, copy, run, measure and transform your content, and to send it to our sub-processors, only as needed to provide, secure and support the Service for you. Our Privacy Policy lists those sub-processors.
  • You confirm you have the rights to upload your content and to let us process it this way, including any third-party or open-source code in it.
  • We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not share it with other customers.

6. AI features

Explain and Optimize send the relevant kernel source and its measurements to Anthropic’s Claude models through OpenRouter (see the Privacy Policy). Don’t use these features on code you are not permitted to share with a third-party AI provider.

AI-generated code can be wrong. Kernalin only reports a rewrite as verified after it passes the checks described on our verification page, but those checks test behaviour against the reference and inputs available to them, within numeric tolerances; they are not a proof that the code is correct for every input. Review and test any generated or optimized kernel before you use it in production. You are responsible for code you deploy.

7. Benchmark and cost results

Performance and cost figures depend on your hardware, drivers, software versions, load and inputs. Where we cannot control GPU clocks or read hardware counters, results say so. Results describe the runs we measured; they are not a guarantee of the same performance, savings or behaviour in your environment.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • upload malware, or code meant to escape the sandbox, attack our systems or other customers, mine cryptocurrency, or reach the network from a job;
  • probe, scan or test the security of the Service, except good-faith security research that follows our disclosure policy and avoids other users’ data and service disruption;
  • overload or interfere with the Service, or get around rate limits, quotas or access controls;
  • use the Service to break the law or infringe anyone’s rights;
  • resell the Service, or copy it to build a competing product, without our written agreement.

We may stop a job, or suspend an account, that breaks these rules or puts the Service or other customers at risk. Where reasonable we will tell you why first.

9. Our software

We own the Service, the rnx CLI, the VS Code extension and this website, and the rights in them. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use them with the Service while these terms apply. Open-source components are covered by their own licences. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Kernalin and delete your account at any time in the app. We may end your access with reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. When an account is deleted, its data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 5 (your confirmation of rights), 6, 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14 continue to apply.

11. Disclaimer

During early access the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we don’t warrant that the Service, its results or any generated code will be error-free or uninterrupted.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data; and our total liability for all claims about the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in that period and USD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, tell account holders by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is required sooner by law or for security. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.

14. General

If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right isn’t a waiver of it. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them to a successor of the Service. These terms are the whole agreement between us about the Service, unless we have a separate signed agreement with you.
